Since 2021, the adoption and implementation of a number of laws in Europe and the United States put forward new regulatory requirements for companies on supply chain due diligence management and compliance. This has posed more challenges to Chinese companies in ESG regulation and legislation in overseas countries when going global.

Supported by ESG expertise from GoldenBee Consulting, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) held a training on sustainable due diligence management of Chinese automotive enterprises against global compliance in Beijing on May 18-19, 2023. The training helps enterprises fully sort out the core essence of supply chain due diligence legislation at home and abroad and the application scope of relevant laws and regulations, further improve their ability to deal with compliance risks and comprehensive ESG management.

The training was attended by the responsible persons for compliance, environment and supply chain construction from Chinese automotive enterprises.

The two-day training focused on the legal and regulatory requirements of international supply chain due diligence, their impacts on Chinese enterprises, and climate-related due diligence and human rights and labor due diligence.
