The first CSR lecture in Tsinghua SEM by Mr. Yin Gefei

On June 10, 2017, the “School of Economics and Management (SEM), Tsinghua University ?Tanoto Foundation CSR course” was officially launched. Mr. Yin Gefei, the chief expert of GoldenBee CSR Consulting, was invited to give a lecture on the CSR concept and practice to the MBA students in the Shunde Building. Moderated by Professor Qian Xiaojun, Assistant Dean of SEM, Tsinghua University, the lecture attracted more than 100 students.

Mr. Gao Baoyu from RGE


Mr. Gao Baoyu from Royal Golden Eagle (RGE), delivered a welcome address for the launching ceremony. He illustrated the significance of this course funded by Tanoto Foundation with his own experience and practice of the RGE to stimulate students’ learning interests.

Based on years of research and practical experience, Mr. Yin Gefei illustrated some excellent CSR practices from Guangzhou MBS Environmental Technology Corporation, China National Coal Group Corporation, Mombasa Nairobi Railway, etc., and explained the CSR concept, responsible competitiveness and CSR practice in concise language and clear logic. Through lecturing, discussion and other ways, Mr. Yin helped students understand the basic CSR concept and core philosophy, the role and management mechanism of CSR, and learn about best practice of CSR fulfillment. With both profound theoretical illustrations and detailed practical techniques, Mr. Yin’s lecture was simple, humorous, vivid, and clear in logic, and made students deeply inspired.

In recent years, CSR has become an issue highly valued by society, government, and international community. No matter it is the green, sound and sustainable development of domestic economy, or the “Going Global” strategy of Chinese enterprises under the background of the Belt and Road Initiative, are facing more serious challenges. Therefore, it is critical to raise students’ awareness of business ethics and CSR, and cultivate corporate managers and decision makers with high responsibility awareness.
